SMART GRID CYBER SECURITY

The digitization of our energy infrastructure is expected to lead to improved efficiency, integration with other systems and more flexibility. These three very welcome benefits come with a price:
Increased complexity and new types of phenomena previously unknown in the power sector. One of them is cyber security: digital infrastructure, globally networked, is subject to numerous threats and attacks.

The 2017 PowerWeb day at 9 June has taught the fundamentals and the state-of-the-art of Smart Grid Cyber Security. Additionally, international research projects showed the upcoming answers to our all questions with regards to the combination of information technology and power grids. the audience have learned about both, the Smart Grid Cyber Security challenges and solutions at The Netherland’s premium event on intelligent power systems.
The very successful day ended with a networking session among industry, research, and authorities.
